The true beauty of a Wholecloth Quilt lies in its complex stitching: lines, stipples, circles, ovals, hearts, and more can be woven throughout these quilts. 

One of the first quilting techniques brought to America was the elegant whole-cloth quilt. The  intricacy of these quilts required highly-skilled craftsmanship - for which only women of wealth had such time. The mixture of this elaborate needlework with highlights of difference symbols and stitching is a more recent creation. A traditional symbol of France, the Fleur de Lis has graced the homes of countless European royalty. The complex stitching and the classic Fleur de Lis emblem make this truly regal.
