Collection - Limited Edition
The Limited
Edition series are limited to only 250 quilts and
150 throws made in each style. They will be
signed, numbered and will have a Certificate of
Authenticity making them rare and unique.
Hand Quilted
Quilts in the Signature line are detailed and
complex pieces. Each one is an intricate
design made with fabrics that are unique to Donna
Sharp. Donna personally approves every piece
of material used. Weeks, and even months, can
be spent in perfecting the layout of the fabrics
within the design. Once approved and ready for
actual creation, each quilt is painstakingly
handmade. It can take hundreds of
hours to create one Full/Queen.
One of the first quilting
techniques brought to America was the elegant
whole-cloth quilt. The intricacy of these quilts
required highly-skilled craftsmanship - for which
only women of wealth had such time. The mixture of
this elaborate needlework with highlights of
difference symbols and stitching is a more recent
creation.
